All his jewels are exclusively handmade: from the initial cutting into different shapes and cleansing of each single part, to its final melting in a special kiln. As every great artist, Giorgio has refined its manufacturing technique of fused glass, where different sections of it are assembled on a plate and melted at a range temperature of about 800 degrees. This technique requires a long cooling process -
about 20 hours - in order to avoid any thermal shock, which could cause an extreme fragility to the final work.
In addition to glass, these jewels are enriched with silver or steel strings, and combined with silk, leather or fabric materials to complete their artistic touch and make them unique pieces. Due to the sophisticated technique required, only few artists today, like Giorgio, succeed in this elaborated process, to create incomparable art objects, such as rings, necklaces, earrings, pendants and vitreous
Giorgio Demicheli ‘s works are exhibited in art galleries and sold mainly in his home country.
